Trilobite Fossil Rustic Hand Fabricated Argentium (93.5) Silver Earrings
If you are like me and find fossils and artifacts so very interesting, you might love these sweet little Trilobite Fossil earrings!! Each trilobite is unique and shaped a bit different of course, so the earrings are not totally identical, but they do hang the same length! I set these cuties in my hand fabricated silver settings, and stamped the back of each earring with an adorable little dragonfly!!! These earrings hang on my hand forged 20 gauge Argentium (93.5) Silver ear wires!
The bezels if you notice, are rustic, and I filed some little 'nicks' in the edges - yes, this is intentional! I really wanted to give these earrings an 'old' and organic feel....I hope you enjoy!
Trilobites were hard shelled arthropods that roamed the sea floor during the Cambrian period roughly 550 million years ago. Trilobites disappeared in the mass extinction at the end of the Permian period about 250 million years ago.
These particular trilobites were collected from the Wheeler Shale Formation in Utah!
Length: 1 and 1/8 inches.
